Hi all,
I've been having issues with this.
so far replaced NOx sensor, Eolys injector
Had 2 Eolys tanks, and my mechanic hasn't been able to get either of them to communicate. Is this a known issue or is my mechanic likely to be doing something wrong?
TIA
Douglas

Has he checked the electrical connectors from the tank through to the fusebox. No comms is often a corroded connector in the circuit.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Welcome along.
Looks like you are confusing the 2 additives - adblue and Eolys. Ablue is for nox reduction and consists of the adblue tank (with built in pump), injector (into exhaust) and NOX sensor to monitor NOX and adjust adblue injection rate. Adblue is consumer filled every 10-15k. Eolys is injected into the diesel tank each time the car is fuelled up, and is to help regeneration of the DPF - refill of the tank is a garage job every 100k miles or so, and requires a computer reset.
I think you are probably having adblue only issues? Emissions fault on the dash and countdown to no start? 2 tanks and no comms suggests a wiring fault somewhere. Well, unless the mechanic has actually confused the 2 and changed the Eolys tank - in which case it is not surprising the adblue tank is still not communicating!
Ideally need to know what faults it is indicating and what has actually been changed.

What diagnostic was your mechanic trying to use to check for DTCs?

He's been using an Autel 919 I think.
Not confusing the parts, this is what has been replaced to try and resolve the issue so far.
I don't think it's a corroded wiring as he's put a unit off another customer car on and got it working but can't get the new ones to work!
I'll try and get the fault codes and post

Initially there were multiple error codes in both systems. NOx sensor was replaced, cleared some of the faults, then Adblue injector, still left with Eolys faults:
Full diagnostics attached, from after new tank was installed. Other silly faults on there too, but not bothering with them until I can get this tank issue resolved!
