Peugeot 406 steering vibration

Hi. Little problem with my 406. For about a month now i have
a banging noise from my front suspention when driving on a rough
road. I was told that i need to replace antiroll bar drop links.
Also few day ago while driving on the motorway i realised that every
time i press the brake pedal i feel very strong vibration on my steering
wheel. So strong that i almost lost the control at one point and had
to drive very slowly for the rest of the journey (was scary i must say

.
I just wondering if these two can be related. Anyone else had similar
problems

Since the vibration starts when the brake pedal is operated, I suggest you start by looking closely at the pads, callipers and discs.

This happen to me, a new set of front discs and pads fixed it. £30 in total, and a half hour job. I still haven't solved the knocking ( more squeeking) noise every time I go over a speed bump.
