VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Hi everyone,
I am hoping someone with live Service Box access can help me settle a dispute. Two separate Citroen main dealers have given me completely conflicting information regarding whether my vehicle has an Eolys DPF additive system or not.One dealer insists it only uses AdBlue, while the other says it uses both. I know that some late 2016 C3 Picassos completely phased out Eolys, so I am looking for the definitive answer straight from the factory build sheet.Could someone please check my VIN on Service Box to see if the Particulate Filter Additive Tank/Pouch is listed for my chassis?

Sadly, the forum has lost its own access to the Stellantis database but, as you say, maybe someone with their own access may be able to help you.
Having said that I would be willing to bet that the vehicle does have Eolys. AFAIK, removal of the Eolys occurred when the engine was changed to the 1.5 engine, not before.
Also, it's not very difficult to remove the shield and check physically underneath whether the Eolys container is there. It's usually situated on the LH side between the rear door and wheel.

If this helps, our 2016 1.6 blue hdi Cactus has eolys, we had it filled by the dealer last year. Looking under the left back of the car is not difficult to see the tank, etc.
When the car was new it will have been given a one page service schedule with the car vin which includes what is done against time/miles and also includes the oil spec and the need to top up the eolys and check the dpf. If you no longer have this ask a dealer service desk for a copy, they should not charge, and it will also include the latest oil spec as these can change over time.
