The gift that just keeps giving!

:rofl2:

H went out this morning to do a deep clean on the interior (seats out and get right in there) to get a warning that the end of the world was nigh, nothing works, it’s all broken etc etc from the dash, along with much to do on the Bing/bong front

C003a was the actual error code at the end of the day albeit it generates a lot of collateral damage

This refers to the offside rear ABS sensor and if it comes on straight away (rather than after you start moving) it’s a communications error between the ABS ECU and the sensor

I got a bit twitchy here as I’ve just replaced the pump and I was worried I’d done something stupid at the pump end

On examination I could see that a repair had already been done to the loom at the axle leading to the sensor, the loom hadn’t been fixed back down properly and the wiring was exposed. A close look showed enough insulation tape to repair Trumps reflecting pool

Pulling it all apart showed a dodgy repair using oddments of wire poorly soldered and a dry joint was in there! Which I was actually quite relieved to find

All back together properly with proper soldered repair, correct wiring colours, heat shrink, cloth tape and self amalgamating tape around it all and fault fixed

Should Citroen include a soldering iron in with the emergency jack kit??

Now that is a plan and maybe a reel of solder and heat shrinks too!! :-D
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I can see the wiring on one of these being a challenge longer term
