I bought a BX 19 RD estate from dog owners who transported their hounds to Scotland every weekend. It stunk and took weeks of constantly vacuuming, shampooing and general interior washing, plus a load of that 'stink-off' stuff (Febreeze?) before it was tolerable and always had that dog smell if it had been closed up in warm weather.

Ive turned down buying cars in the past as soon as I smell dog , its a very pungent smell which worsens when wet

Oh and the fur anyone ever had a vac that does get rid of them tiny little hairs . They are a nightmare

Fortunately our rescue dog Jessie, a Griffon Nivernais doesn't shed.
Jess found abandoned & put in pound by dog catcher & then onwards to SPA where we found her. No chip or other ID.
Gentlest dog you could imagine. Loves everybody plus our horses, cat & chooks
What sort of sub-human abandons a lovely dog like this?
Jess is our second Griffon. A breed to be recommended if you've the space & energy.

Plenty of them that once they are no longer pups they dont want them , they really need placing in the pound

Very true , ours sheds like mad , smells when wet he's showered each week but I can still smell him wife says my nose is over sensitive, I just say no the dog stinks lol

I’d test her out. Only two dogs in my life have ever liked me. The rest have snarled or bitten me.

I wouldn’t have abandoned the dog. I just wouldn’t have picked it up in the first place. And the dog would have been quite happy with that.

Im not a massive dog person , but saying that I dont dislike them either , I've also heard other folk say certain type of dog will be different toward them to, but the part regarding them that dump the animal really needs tougher penalties to discourage them type of people in getting a dog or cat in the first place , I could name maybe 2 family's near me that breed for the fun of it , which to me is cruel .

Its ok , water off a Dyslexic ducks back, got diagnosed with it in my later yrs , schools called it naughty kid stuff you know , always in trouble all ways in the wrong and all that crap.

I will be 70 next month and I was diagnosed with ADHD about two years ago. Both my psychiatrist and psychologist have said that I have probably had it since I was a teenager but no one knew about that stuff then.

I was “top of the class”, well, top 5 or 6 in primary school but once I hit high school, I failed just about everything. Every year I was promoted to the next year ‘on probation’. I wasn’t naughty. I got the cane three times in my whole school career. Most boys could get that in a week! But the school didn’t have a clue about what was wrong with me. My parents didn’t know what was wrong. And I certainly didn’t know anything about what was going on inside me.

Are they breeding themselves? That’s supposed to be fun! I don’t know what makes you think it’s cruel.
