2008 C5 X7 - headunit issues

My C5 is once again being a PITA.

Someone drove into the back of her damaging a parking sensor (I assume). I ordered a spare one.

A week later randomly, the stereo won't turn on or anything. The SOS light is solid orange or blinking green.

Is this the same as viewtopic.php?p=832770

The spare parking sensor arrived, but without the working headunit, is there any point in changing it?

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

I think a diagnostic session with a high end diagnostic, preferably Diagbox, might help.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.
