Tolerance gap on ep6 timing chain

Tolerance gap on ep6 timing chain

Changed timing chain on ep6 engine. There is a tolerance gap up to 2.5mm between the intake and exhaust locking tools on the instructions. Should the intake tool be bolted down or not? as this makes a big difference to the gap

The instruction says 'loosely place...' so I would say not bolted. :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!
