I picked up a hire car today and to my surprise it's a C5 X.

I have come to the opinion that it's a nice car in every way except the steering wheel!!!! Some idiot flattened the top and bottom of the steering wheel and it's to far away!!! I'm going to have arms like Popeye by the time I hand it back. Next time I'll ask for this instead

I'm ashamed of myself, I've fallen in love with an electric car, a Tesla....

But in my defence, it has gull-wing doors!!!!!

I can't stand (it being a big fat SUV blob plus also) the mix of gull wing back doors with completely conventional front doors!
Pop the kids in with the full Thunderbirds treatment then slip into the driver's seat via the tradesman entrance!

I wonder if that is one of the Teslas where an electric power failure and 'hidden handles' means you can't open the doors from inside or outside.

If you must (Musk?) have sleek flush handles, you could have them held shut by electric power such that they spring open when the power fais, but Elon knows best .....

Buck moon, or something. Looked quite spectacular but defeated by an eight second exposure, despite holding the camera to the window frame to steady it.

By the time I had found the tripod and set it up it was much darker. Fifteen second exposure but the clouds had moved in.

Had the camera for at least 20 years and the first time I have used the 'S' setting for long exposures. Laziness demands using the auto setting by default.

For the 'French Car' connection, note the white RCZ. This is the wife's car and he also has an RCZ that used to be hers, but she gets the better of the two. His wasn't there, he works late and comes in between 00:00 and 02:30.

Saw it out of my bedroom window at 03:30 this morning Looked awesome and very bright.

I was awoken by neighbours being picked up by a noisy taxi - off to spend a few miserable hours at some desolate airport and then spending even more tragically wasted hours in a crowded aluminium tube in search of a non-existent paradise where they and their money will be rapidly separated from them.

They call it a holiday... I call it purgatory...
