Hi everyone,
I'm trying to diagnose what I believe is a faulty Lexia 3 / XS Evolution (963830B) VCI and would appreciate some advice.
I'm using DiagBox 7.57. The interface is detected correctly, and Interface Checker reports INIT OK with firmware APPLI_XS_Fuji_P106138A V4.3.2 @ACTIA 03.01.14. However, in DiagBox I only get communication errors, and it cannot communicate with any ECU on a vehicle that is known to be working. The software installation has also been verified.
I've checked the OBD cable continuity and inspected both PCBs for any obvious damage, but I haven't found anything.
How can I properly test the VCI to determine whether it's faulty? Are there any common failure points on these clone interfaces that I should check?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried it on a different car?

What year is the car you're trying to read? Is it the C4 in your profile?

I have heard of them being damaged by selecting the wrong vehicle model while plugged in to a vehicle. I guess this particularly applies to selecting a pre-obd vehicle where pin assignments vary.
With this type of failure, one or more of the relays is damaged, with no visible effect.
