Ds5 hybrid rattle sound

Ds5 hybrid rattle sound

I have 2012 ds5 hybrid and as far as I have found out the knocking sound comes from hybrid generator,

How long do I have untill it fails? It's been loud for about two weeks now. I found that someone can replace bearings inside and get a cheap fix. Is that true?
