Egr. Citroen 1,4 hdi

Unread post by 95oktan »

Hi. does anyone know where the egr valve is located anywhere on my Citroen nemo 2009. 1.4 diesel.
I've looked a little on youtube and google but I can't find anything about this particular engine.

Anyone tell me the purpose of item 4 ? Is it a cooler ? I have an exhaust leak from the area of the EGR, not an easy place to see a leak with everything in place.

Thanks for that. Noticed a chuffing noise on acceleration, and within a day or two, Im getting fumes in the cabin, and smoke from under the bonnet. Theres also oil and soot in the area of the EGR valve. Im thinking a sealing connector or flange has rotted out, and will need replacing. Got the MOT soon, so its going to be a weekend job... Will order a new EGR valve in advance, so I can at least have that ready for replacement. Bit of a ball ache to remove the ancilleries for access, so Im going to replace the fuel filter as well, as its been 40k miles since it was last done.

Turns out it was a loose EGR valve. Bolts are 8mm spanner. Luckily just needed a nip up, rather than replacing at this stage.

Did that sort your problem out? Just tightening the bolts?
