Renault Radio Locked
Hi! My radio got stuck in my Megane. I did a google search and saw that you need the serial number of the radio to unlock it... I took the radio off and that serial number is erased from the label. I did another search on how to find out the code without the serial number and this page came up https://radiounblock.com/renault-radio-code/: but it's pay. Do I have another alternative or will I have to pay here to get the code?

I got my radio code for free from my.renault.co.uk
Sign up, add your car by entering your VIN, and then go to the DOCUMENTATION tab to find your Radio code at the bottom.

Re: Renault Radio Locked
Hi there!
It’s frustrating when that happens—I’ve been there. Unfortunately, the serial number is essential for retrieving the unlock code. If the label is damaged or missing, there’s no easy way to get the code without paying for a service.
That said, I’d recommend checking out this site https://radiocodepro.com/unlock-your-re ... nline-now/. I used it myself when I had a similar issue with my Megane, and it worked perfectly. It’s straightforward and quick.
If you want a free option, you could try contacting a Renault dealership with proof of ownership, but they often charge a fee or might take longer.
Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

Re: Renault Radio Locked
I was stuck with the 'CODE' message on my megane after the battery died. I didn't fancy paying the local dealer £40 for a 5-digit pin, so I just used https://radiocodeauto.com/renault-radio-code/. It worked perfectly with my radio serial number. Saved me a proper headache, mate!

If the serial label is completely unreadable, your best free option is to check My Renault using your VIN, as some owners can find the radio code there. If that doesn't work, then unfortunately you'll usually need either a Renault dealer or an online decoding service.
There are a few reliable ones around. I ended up using https://radiocodepro.co.uk/get-renault-radio-code-now/ when I couldn't get mine from Renault, and it worked fine. If you still have any part of the label or a security code (like a letter followed by 3 digits), that can sometimes be enough as well.
