C4 2010 B7 passenger door mirror help needed

Unread post by admiral51 »

Hi All,

For the last year or so my passenger door mirror has not been folding and to be fair i kinda thought well it stays where it is and i can see out of it so why bother delving into the well of doom to try and get it fixed.
However i have just done something stupid and bought This
So £25 for the right side and colour is worth a punt.
However now i need some help in how to remove the door card etc to get to the mounting bolts.

Could anyone supply me with diagrams or a walk through to help me out.
Vin is in my sig.

Thanks
Colin

Here's a video of the disassembly of the door for a Citroen C4 Picasso, 2006-2013.

Some notes on the video..

1. When he remounts the door card, if you look carefully, he has not fitted the speaker. This will need to be pop riveted or bolted into place to keep it in position

2. Be mindful of the temperature sensor in the door mirror. It's a small black bump that protrudes from the underside of the driver' side mirror in many vehicles. While re-installation should be easy, while the door card is off but the electrics are plugged in, turn on the ignition to see if your displays show the ambient temperature. They should show the current temperature, say `23°C`. If it shows `---` or something indicating failure, then that needs to be fixed because vehicles rely on the temperature sensor for things like AC and also possibly DPF regeneration.

3. He's right about the white door fixings; they all need to be slotted back into the door card before the card can be fitted to the door.

4. Having removed the door card on my Citroen C3 Picasso, I can tell you it's fairly straightforward and the chance of damaging the door is minimal, but take your time, I personally always use inexpensive trim tools avoid damage, do not rush it and it it will come out sweet.

hth, good luck!

Thanks Barney,
Guess it will be similar but with minor differences but good to see where the clips and screws are so i can atleast go in not blind 😁
Still have loads of door card clips from previous excursions into window regulator replacement on both Xantias and C5 X7 🙈
