Lane Keep Assist.....help

Unread post by ChrisEC4MAX »

Hi, i am just wondering if anybody has had an issue with the semi auto driving with the lane keep assist, I had a 2022 shine plus model and it stayed in the lanes and turned automatically on the motorway. I have now changed to a brand new Ec4 Max which should have this feature but it doesn't work, citroen says they can't find a fault, the lane assist i have got at the moment just bounces me in-between the lines and doesn't self steer. Is there a certain procedure I have to follow to engage this feature.

Thanks

If the car is brand new take it back to the dealer, demand a courtesy car and tell them to contact you when they have sorted out your car!! :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

I would also ask them to calibrate the cameras. Not a Citroën fault, but I seen it recommended for other car brands, Kia, Nissan....usually after a new windscreen, but yours may have not been done at the factory.
Please report back once fixed, just in case someone else has the same problem in future.

There are 2 levels of asssistance on the C4. One self steers and the other gently tugs the wheel if you go over the line, didn't use the indicator and you are travelling above 40mph. My 2025 C4 Max Hybrid has the latter, to get the full driving assistance I would have needed to pay for a "Technology pack" even on the Max. Check what yours is supposed to have, Citroen are always messing with specifications and equipment and it might be that yours is doing exactly what it should.
