Fault Code P11B2 EGR position short circuit

Finally got my scanner working properly and a quick scan revealed this code P11B2 - Measurement of the position of the EGR exchanger bypass- Short circuit to positive

This did no throw and engine warning light is that normal?

Presume this is a blocked up EGR? Can they be removed and cleaned or is this a replacement job I know the cheap replacements are known to have issues but price of OEM hurts lol

Assume this would explain slight lack of performance and poor mpg about town was great on long steady run but seems to drop quite a bit around town, seems to start and idle ok tho, not ripped airbox out to look yet but given this car not be surprised if unplugged or blanked off haha.

Is 107k about right for a failed EGR not symptom of something else?

i know these engines if cared for can go to silly mileages so reluctant to just let it die even tho at times I want to haha

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before and, assuming you're talking about the car in your profile, then it can't have a 1.5 Hdi engine in 2013. It must be a 1.6 Hdi or a later year.

oops yes a typo on my part its 1.6 with the 6 speed manual.

I have the 1.5 on my old focus great engine, great car, wish i had kept it at end of PCP

The old C4 was picked up as stop gap while i try to reject my faulty electric car, but has not went to plan lol
