Au Revoir Citroen !

Unread post by Uncle Tom Cobley »

Owned my 2016 1.6 Diesel C4 Picasso Grand ten years and one month now from new.
The car has full service history and has wanted for nothing, mechanically maintained regardless of cost.
Has it been a reliable car ?…Well nothing these days is built to last for ever but of late I have began to wonder if the urban myth of the famed warranty chip really does have some mileage? But I guess yes ,overall I suppose it has been a good family car, certainly the next owner will be getting a very well looked after car.
However after my recent dealings with Yeomans of Torquay ( a Citroën main dealer ) I (we) have decided to walk well away from the brand.
I just wonder if Citroen UK head office knows how much these clowns are costing them in the long run ?
Picking up my new car this afternoon.

What are you getting as a replacement?

Like Paul above I’m Interested to know what you are changing to. Even more interesting if you come back in a few months and tell us if the new brand experience is any better. With so many multi brand dealer groups, I wonder if there is any real difference between them.

Enjoy the new car.

With the increase in demand for electric cars many of the dealers near us have started to sell Chinese brands. It helps them maintain sales when European ones are too expensive (but might look better). Our multi brand dealer Pentagon who were our Citroen dealer took on Peugeot cars, moved Citroen to a smaller showroom and eventually ditched Citroen for BYD. They still service Citroen cars and supply parts.
