Central sphere removal (c5 x7 2.0 hdi)

Unread post by michok2 »

Hi,

At the moment, the best method I've found for removing the spheres is using a chisel (at least in my case 😉). I've already replaced 6 out of 7 spheres, and soon I'll try to remove the last one — the central sphere.
I found Kees' manual, but I'm still a bit afraid of damaging something. To be on the safe side, I'll definitely remove the steel lines first because I'm worried I might bend them during the process.
May i ask for any additional advices?

my plan is to use Kees method. 2-3 attempts and "see how it goes"

Thanks!

Use a "sharp" chisel first to raise an edge on the sphere, you can them blunt it a bit to give better "contact".
A single very positive hit is better than tapping it a bit.

thanks! that's the plan.

6 spheres had loss of 30-35% so im just wondering what kind of loss last one will have.
