308 1.6 hdi 92 hp model 2013 multiple faults after ABS problem

Unread post by Danilov »

Hi all,
Last month I had to replace an inner drive shaft boot on passenger side as was badly cracked but holding and decided to do it now instead of in a cold rainy winter day. So I disconnected battery remove it and drained oil from the box. The cars battery stayed disconnected for two days. When all done all was good but week or so later my Peugeot started showing ABS fault for rear passenger wheel. It was intermittent but so I deleted it with my Think diag2 , again all good for a while after a few days got worse and become permanent. Initially I thought that it could have something to do with battery being unplugged as did check live sensor data and seemed that all 4 ABS sensors were showing the same but anyway pull the wheel to to have a look. After taking the disc with the integrated bearing and sensor ring it was clear that because of rust under the sensor pushing it up on one side sort of twisting it the front was rubbing the ring. Long story short , got a new sensor put all back together and cleared the ABS fault. All good except my mirrors stopped folding when locking the car and temperature on my folding screen disappeared - -*C.ran a scan and there were these

. No amount of fault reset, BSI reset could get rid of them. Pull ambient temp sensor from my mirror and it’s all good. I cut it off just to make sure the sensor is good and connection to looked good to BSI. Incline to think its configuration error and my scanner is no good for it.

That suggests to me that you may have a wiring problem in the loom feeding the passenger side mirror. A break or short could cause failure of both folding and/or temperature sensor. Check the loom where it goes into the door first, that is the most common place to get a break. :)

Sorry but obviously you didn’t read my post carefully. I removed the sensor and measured resistance of about 2.1K , heated up a little to see response and resistance fell which for NTC type is to be expected. After I measured the pair going to BSI , one showed 5V other ground, so sensor and wiring pretty much ok to me. I also put a potentiometer to see if different resistances make any difference By the way I forgot to mention that mirrors work from the button on the door.

I have sneaky suspicion that Chinese guy “ mischiefed ” or I have changed something while resetting. Is there anyone familiar with Diagbox/Lexia to give advise or point to some directions. Thanks

I read your post very carefully, down to the picture. I was using my phone so when pic scrolled in I viewed it and then went back to post with pic at the bottom. Hence I missed your last paragraph!! Teach me not to use the phone'! :-D

Can somebody share connection diagram to see how the sensor is connected to BSI. Anyone?
