As the failure of the blower motor controller seems to be a recurring theme within C5 X7 circles, may I ask if anyone has any experience of replacing the Mahle Behr ABR 21 000P controller ( which appears to be somewhat rarer than hens teeth or rocking horse droppings!) with the Hitachi version, number 132514?
Cost is currently around £49.20, which I appreciate is around about mid-range in terms of prices, but I'd obviously prefer not to purchase if it isn't going to work.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Re: C5 X7 Blower motor controller
I'd suggest you contact the supplier of the Hitachi unit and ask if they will refund if it doesn't work!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: C5 X7 Blower motor controller
Hi,
Replaced the blower module after failure in 2019 (6 years old), initially with a cheap non branded one which was gave strange results.
Chose a brand that I recognised which was Hella and up to now has worked perfectly in all weather conditions. There is a note of the part numbers 6441.S7 and 5762 N
Hope that helps.
Andy.

If it can happen it will.

Re: C5 X7 Blower motor controller
Just ordered a Hella 6441.S7 - the previous one that I ordered (allegedly Hitachi, though no markings to say so on it when it arrived) made no difference.
I'm not convinced that the fan itself is faulty, as it on occasions blows full tilt after starting the car for about 20-30 seconds, then the speed drops.
I'll report back once I've fitted the new component.
