Unread post by Huskyxantia »

A 168 mile round trip today resulted in me having to snap shot this idiot , I , like many other normal motorists was parked up in a bay all normal as you do then was greeted by this as I was coming out of a bakers with my lunch , ham n cheese salad bap decafe tea and bread pudding ( well it contains fruit) then as i was walking back to my car saw this

If you happen to see any idiot parking and would like to enter them into this new annual idiot parking award please do so

The rules.
No full number plate must be shown but rule change oh yes it should . So show us what to steer clear of.
They must be parked , empty car and over 2 mins of you seeing said car.
No photo shop
No cut and paste
Last but not least, it must be backed up with a photo. Good luck .

Im not sponsored by the AA, RAC or other breakdown companies, just bloody annoyed by idiot parkers.

The ones that I see are mainly pavement parkers, which really annoys me as it ruins pavements and blocks access for prams and pushchairs and worse; wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

Then there are the idiots in petrol/diesel cars parked in EV charging bays.

A small town near me that I visit frequently, there are double yellows all the way through the main road with many parking on them, but worse, on the pavement and also pelican crossing zigzags to get into Greggs and Subway. There are two large, free car parks at the rear but that is too much trouble for the lazy thingumybobs.

Similarly outside the school up the street, many parked on the no parking yellow zigzags. Over the road are two car parks split by a bus-only link. Then there are the dozens of cars and vans that drive through the bus link. Some drive through and into the car park at the other side so they don't have to walk more than five yards to the shop, chippy or pub. Then drive back through the bus link.
Our local councillor tried to have cameras erected as so many were driving through at school times. They installed traffic counters to assess the feasibility but they only lasted overnight before they were ripped out. That was repeated a week later with the same result. I doubt that cameras would have fared any better.

The other week on one of the hot sunny days we were at a shopping centre. Somebody had parked their car on one of the roads within the car park when there were many empty spaces. The only obvious reason was it was in the shade of the only tree in the car park.

Wonder if the passengers are waiting in the shop for the bus to be charged up so they can continue the journey.

Would this category also include idiot supermarkets that put the EV charging points as far away from the supermarket as possible? Because let's face it, no one with a disabled badge drives an EV.........

Went to Lister hospital today, famous for its old style small spaces and tight ramp accesses in the multi storey. Now they have surpassed themselves by moving all the disabled spaces up to the 4th floor from the ground and replacing them with charging bays!! Now the rich EV driver can park across from the main door while the blue badge holder has to negotiate the lifts to get back down to the entrance. Madness!!
