Partner 2006 1.6HDi Alternator Pulley

Unread post by clavileno »

Hi there.

My alternator pulley flew off whilst driving yesterday! Only the hub remains (the part needing a special tool to remove). I want to order a replacement, but Autodoc lists several different sizes for my vehicle. I obviously can't check the existing pulley as it is no long present.

Is there a way forward? My VIN is VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff] and I cannot see any markings on the alternator itself (which is I'm sure aftermarket at this point).

I used to have Service Box access, but in the brave new world that no longer works.

Obviously I could buy a whole new alternator, but would prefer to avoid that if I can.

Thanks!

Unfortunately the forum has lost access to the VIN database so we cannot check this for you. However there are members with their own access and maybe one of them can help you out. Good luck :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Do the different size pulleys have different length belts? If so then, if the belt size can be read off the markings, then the correct pulley can be inferred.
