Hi I have a 2007 Citroen C4 1.6 16v and it has developed a hesitation when accelerating particularly noticeable in 1st and 2nd gears when it hesitates for a fraction of a second. I have replaced the spark plugs, replaced the coil pack and MAP sensor, cleaned the MAF sensor but still the problem exists.
Can anyone give any advice on what is causing this issue as it's getting frustrating and don't want to keep replacing parts to still have the same problem.

Which gearbox does the car have? 
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

With the car stationary, if you gradually press the accelerator pedal do the revs increase gradually without any dead spots ? If not it could be the pedal ?
