users_com.dat file 607

Unread post by SterkeYerke »

Does anyone happen to have a users_com.dat file from an RT4 or RT5 that was originally fitted to a 607? Mine's from a Picasso, so some things aren't quite working as they should.

Come to think of it, perhaps it might be a decent idea to put up a database of those files? I've got them from a C4 Picasso and a 407 with RT5, if anyone needs them. That way, swapping head units between different cars might become significantly easier.

That sounds a sensible idea. Perhaps you could add what you have here and then others can contribute what they have? :)

How do I add a file? Apparently I can't upload a zip file on the forum.

Zip files are not permitted because it would be too easy for harmful info to get onto the forum. If you can save it as a PDF that is allowed. Alternatively maybe just post a list of what you have available and ask anyone who wants one to contact you via Private Messaging and then arrange a transfer between you using whatever private method suits. :)

I can't post them as a pdf, because they're not plain text files #-o.

PDFs can incorporate images - in fact there can be nothing but images inside. My scanning program gives me the option to save the scan in quite a few different formats - JPG, TIF, and PDF amongst many.
