DRL - segment of LED's failed

Unread post by Mcnuggetsaway »

Hi people

Newby here to the forum.

Ive got a 2016 2.0 DS facelift version (the one with ridiculously expensive headlights).

I have an issue where a row (not all) of my DRLs on one headlight were working intermittently but have now ceased to work just leaving the vertical part of the DRLs still functioning. At first one half of the lateral row of DRLs was working intermittently then stopped completely, then the other half of the lateral DRLs stopped working leaving the whole upper/lateral row of DRLs not working at all, now only the vertical row down the edge if the headlight are working.

Has anyone come across this before and if so know of a fix?

I have seen diagrams of an LED driver/module seperate to the Xenon ballast. I've tried googling for a replacement part for this but to no avail.

Desperately looking for some help with this.

🙏

Hi Mickthemaverick,

I believe thats the LED module that is either buried in the front bumper or the DRL module/strip that the earlier headlights had that (i believe) were replaceable.

My issue is with the DRL's built into the headlight itself.

The "module" i was talking of may also be known as a "driver" or "LED driver" that is fixed to the underneath of the headlight unit itself.

I would attach an image but am new to this forum and can't work out how to do it..... :(
