Hi everyone! 2007 C4 Picasso, 1.6 HDI MCP6.
When you lock the car, it flashes once after about a minute, and then turns on the headlights about another minute later. Now, if the door is open, it turns on the headlights anyway. It doesn’t indicate that the driver’s side door is open. I’ve replaced the following, but the problem persists: BSM, BSI, and the driver’s side door lock. It’s as if it can’t go into sleep mode.
Have you ever encountered this issue?
I’d appreciate any help.

I can't help but have observed similar behaviour from a pair of Mondeo estates over the road, a 'His & Hers' pair that have a baffling sequence of all the various lights when they get in and out of them.

Is there anything aftermarket plugged in like a phone, sat nav, dash cam, tow bar which might be constantly taking power and stopping the bsi shutting down ? You could check the battery is fully charged.

There are no aftermarket parts. Even without the headlights, the parasitic current draw is 2 amps.PaulC5 wrote: Yesterday, 12:25 Is there anything aftermarket plugged in like a phone, sat nav, dash cam, tow bar which might be constantly taking power and stopping the bsi shutting down ? When it turns on the xenon lights, it's about 25A

Well, that ain't right.
Some of your remarks suggest it's not aware when doors are open/closed, which would be a good starting point, as lots of systems won't go sleep until doors are closed and locked. Once you've solved that, you stand a good chance that your current draw will just go away.
Once you have the door problem solved,
There's lots of info elsewhere so I won't repeat it, nut the approach here is to larch the doors and bonnet so the car thinks they are closed, lock it, wait for things to settle, and measure voltage drop across fuses to find which component(s) are pulling power.

With everything shutdown I would expect only around 20 mA current draw so if your bsi, etc are shutdown you are around 100 times that. If 2 amps all the time then your battery will go flat quite quickly.
