Another interesting suggestion Richard but not what I am after even if it may be correct. The answer is written on that list without any thinking around it!! :-D

Yes of course. A frustrating flying day with not much flying. 30mph crosswinds towards the crowd kept everything on the ground except the big one pictured and 3 piper cubs that could amuse us and take off across rather than along the grass runway area. Plus a fiedler storch. All deemed to risky for the rest. No big thing for us though, free admission as a member and only 3 miles away but disappointing for people who had come from afar. All very good natured though, no grumpiness.

Now back to Jackie Stewart. Puzzled by this. Fastest lap speed and race speed very close so no pit stops, did he lead from the front row and not catch or pass anybody? But would that be unique? Surely Clark and others did that so need to go back to hard thinking.

To tidy up the Jackie Stewart poser, from that website it would seem that Jackie Stewart is the only driver to ever have won a Grand Prix on June 31st!! :-D

Well I think this is the winner if your claiming the 31 June 1973 is unique or the fact that the typist made more than one mistake :dunno: for a while I was looking at dyslexia and then his early clay pigeon skills, even looked to see if he’d raced in a kilt …many hours whittled away

Jackie done well to survive in his era whilst many pushed the limits too much :bigcry:
