C4 1.6 Hdi 2014 manual P1A99 start stop over voltage

Hi, my C4 Grand Picasso 1.6 hdi manual 2014 has a start stop not working problem. The cars starts and runs perfect. But when it starts it flashes up with a engine fault and the service light and eco off is on the dash all the time.

I've swapped the battery change the capacitor but its still the same. See photo of fault right side.

After swapping the battery did you perform a BSI reset? Secondly you need to connect a code reader to reset the fault codes and then do the reset following the procedure in the link below:

Hi Eddy, sorry to hear about your car. Once you've made sure you've done a BSI reset, per mickthemaverick's instructions, then here's a great article here on your P1A99 code and solid diagnostics too.

If it _does_ turn out to be the BPGA (Boîtier de Protection et de Gestion des Alimentations -> Protection and Power Distribution Unit), you can get your part re-manufactured back to working with these guys : https://www.actronics.co.uk/

And finally, a pre-loved BPGA unit from the scrap yard is about £40, again, assuming that is the problem.

I'm pretty confident you should be able to fix this quite cheaply.

Hi Ive done the bsi reset procedure and its funny as I have the same errors as per the first video so pointing to bga issue. Will try swapping that out next.
