It's all right, I've received a PM now.

Re: Diagbox near north west
Possibly. My Diagbox is currently out of action as I try to update from Win7 to Win10 but I would hope to have this sorted well before then. The battery type may not need to be changed if your car is correctly set up and you're putting the correct battery in. What battery is in at the moment? What are you going to put in?
TBH, to start off with I'd just swap the battery and see how it goes. How old is this battery from the 2015 car?

Re: Diagbox near north west
Hello Paul, me again just letting you know ,I was talking to a couple of lads the other day and they were talking about their cars (peugeot) and what they had done i listened with my mouth open and a bee flying around in my head, I can't believe what they said about their cars being updated?, not a clue, codes erased, the gist was that in the end the cars ran like new again , I would like to know what they meant by , updated, I know nowt about cars Paul, bread, cakes ,cooking yes can this really be done with a laptop I'm astounded really, today I drove the car giving it an Italian tuneup lol, and the hybrid battery showed full right to the top yet as I got home and parked the car it was empty so I'm not concerned about the old battery anymore please keep me informed over you transferring to win 10, and being able to come meet me and fix my car hopefully,I'm on win 7 64 bit at home , take care and stay safe all the best ....bill

Re: Diagbox near north west
Haha, yes Win 10 upgrade.
Unsurprisingly it was not straightforward. It appeared to go through but then at the final stage it exited from the installation leaving me still on Win 7. There was an error code (0xc1900101 if you're interested) which a search told me could any of several things but the first thing to check is to see if any drivers need updating. The site that told me this was Auslogics and they have a program which looks to see what is out of date and then offers to update them for you.
Sounds great but the catch is that you can only update one driver at a time with the free version. I had more than 10 needing updating and, as the time between updates was limited to one every 4 hours for the free version, it's taken quite a while to get through them. Unlike what many people think I don't spend all my time on the internet!
The Win 10 installation appears to be going through now (it's been on all morning) and hopefully the next thing to do will be the reinstallation of Diagbox.
With regards to your specific questions, updating the car sounds like they had their cars' operating systems updated. How new were they compared to your car? It's possible that theirs were reasonably new compared to your 13 year-old car. Having said that maybe there's a similar update available for your car. You need to visit a Peugeot dealer or specialist with access to the servers in France. It will cost you for their time though and it's possible that there isn't anything available for your car.
Postscript. The laptop reached the end of its update and switched off. I've turned it back on and it says "Undoing changes..." so it looks like there's something else stopping the update. A box saying "Why we couldn't install Windows 10" and there's the same error code. Ho-hum. More work.

Re: Diagbox near north west
If all goes well at your end diagbox upgrade, and you are able to come ,is there any chance you can give it a good sorting out with the diagbox thingy the whole thing so I know what to expect when or if I go see robbing peugeot, why do I say that, I had 2 rear subframe bushes knocking like a good un, went see peugeot dealer here in Eastbourne they quoted me £2880 to supply there crap bushes designed not to last long, and fit them, I spent half a day on internet and got poly bushes from ukraine the cost of delivery, bushes ,fitting £435 the poor bugger who fired them took 3 hours and chiseled then out by hand ,what a saving eh!, all i need you to look at is if you can set the battery up,anything with the auto gearbox in fact anything you can alter with the box of magic, right I'll stop pecking now and give you a breather take care....bill
