Excellent, I may be looking into one of those as SWMBO's arthritis wears on. I am not allowed to go the garden maintenance as she is not allowed to maintain the cars!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

To help the old thread get to 1000 pages, 15,000 posts and 1.5 Million views here's a picture of my new Desert Boots in their natural habitat to keep it ticking over!

That's not a lawn it's a field!!!Vic Evans wrote: 20 May 2026, 12:34yep, it parks itself in the charging station perfectly every time & then trundles back to where it left off.mickthemaverick wrote: 20 May 2026, 12:13 Is that a robot mower Vic? and if so does it park itself in there yet?![]()
It's a Mammotion LUBA mini 2 AWD 1000 .
Only had it a few days & still getting to grips with operating it as lots of things to programme.
It's got satellite, wifi & 4G postioning plus an AI tri camera & seems to know where it is.
No perimeter wires etc, just manually drive it around using phone with app & Bob's yer uncle.
It's obstacle avoidance is remarkable. Yesterday Mme , who's used to her robo vacc, set it up & it cut this bit of lawn avoiding everything without need to programme obstacles.
So far really chuffed with it.

Enjoying a mug of tea in the garden, the Catalina rumbles by. All very serene and stately.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
If you're looking for a robot mower I can certainly recommend the one we have or one of it's variants dependent on the size of lawn.mickthemaverick wrote: 20 May 2026, 12:41 Excellent, I may be looking into one of those as SWMBO's arthritis wears on. Ours has been working for about a week now & it's flippin' brilliant with lawn never looking better.
Took a few days to get to grips with all of it's functions but now it does it's job with absolutely no problems. Still dunno how it navigates everything but it does so good enough for me.
Mme & I both agree it's the best garden tool we've got, & we've got a shed load

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Given the need to wear a hat in this current spell of gorgeous weather, I treated myself to another one:
I don't like wearing hats at all so when I must, I make sure I wear a properly silly one

The road ahead as seen by the video camera on my TT bike
Taken early yesterday morning whilst enjoying a bit of duathlon training and shortly after being told to 'Get off the f***king road!' by a reversed baseball cap wearing individual in the passenger seat of a white Audi.
Good to see them keeping the stereotype alive
I wish him and the driver an early failure of their window regulators
See my blog for context

He's a South African who rides around London on a mission to catch people driving and using mobile phones, has reported many to the police, including a few celebrities, with resultant fines.
Also nabs others ignoring traffic lights and other infractions, his most notable his efforts on Gandalf Corner.
Equally lauded and unpopular, the latter with those who feel it is their right to ignore traffic regulations.
Some get very irate.
