You did a post on 20 Sept regarding the thermistors in the air inlet and cooling system on your 2.1TD. I have the same engine in a Xantia (which is running fine, at the moment), and I can see the sender in the air inlet, but which is the one for the water temperature?

Hi,
The water temp thermistor is screwed into the thermostat housing which is, from the front bumper, on the right. It has a green connector.
Cheers,

Now I am out of meeting, I can elaborate...
The part cost about £10 from Peugeot and took about 15minutes to fit.
Although you say your car is running fine, after I replaced the thermistor on my car, it now runs much better than it ever did. The throttle response is much improved. Peugeot wanted to charge an hours labour to replace this part and another hour for the inlet air temperature thermistor, both of which took about 20minutes to change.
DIY!

Many thanks for the info. As I said, motor's fine at the moment, but useful to know for the future.
