I’ve been through all the stuff that guy has talked about. I am thinking that it’s possible there might be an issue where the plug plugs into the module. I’m gonna investigative that area later. If it stops raining

Re: ABS CONTROL MODULE
Ok, best of luck - it might save you a few quid on changing the module unnecessarily as they rarely fail.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Re: ABS CONTROL MODULE
Hi guys
Hope you are all safe and well in these tough times
so I got my car sorted ages ago and should have come back to let you all know what the problem was.
it was a slight build up of crap behind where the speed sensor sits.
I thought I'd cleaned it out properly.
i took it to a guy who "knows" he did it and its not looked back since
happy days

Re: ABS CONTROL MODULE
Hi guys,
Sorry for resurrecting an old topic, I thought it is better then opening a new thread. Would appreciate some help.
I have a 2014 C4 GP with ABS/ESP dashboard errors. Knowing wiring is usually the culprit connected the DiagBox to confirm the rear right speed sensor invalid data C003A
Replaced the sensor, the wheel hub, and found the yellow wire going into the sensor was broken. Wire was spliced and soldered, measuring resistance to the connector under the rear mid seat 0,9 Ohms (good), measuring between two sensor pins 0.9 MOhms, which seems bad.
Suspecting the connector going into the ABS module is bad, but can anyone show me where the ABS module is on this car?
My VIN is: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Re: ABS CONTROL MODULE
Found the ABS module on the firewall, behind the timing belt cover in the engine bay. Not under the right arch wheel like suggested in some posts here. Could not really disconnect the cable but I pulled on it to see if it has integrity. Then i decided to swap my right and left sensor on the rear axle to see if the error follows. To my surprise now the ABS/ESP error is gone. Car is now back on the road. Will update if things appear again

Re: ABS CONTROL MODULE
Hi All, I have a problem with my Citroen C3 Puretech 2018 1.2 petrol.
The ABS light is on my dashboard and the diagnostic shows error C003 95 - right rear wheel ABS sensor (see photo attached). Initially, I have tried to fix the car myself and did the following, but I didn't manage to solve the issue:
- replaced the right rear speed sensor;
- replaced the right rear wheel hub (including wheel bearing and disc)
- checked the cables going from the abs module to speed sensors
I then brought the car to 2 different mechanics and they haven't been able to fix the issue and told me that the issue was caused by the ABS module.
The first one told me that he couldn't fix the issue and that I needed to bring the car to a citroen specialist garage.
The second one said he could send the car to be fixed, but it would take 2 weeks and that it would cost me £900!!
Can somebody please confirm if a faulty ABS module can trigger speed sensors error code?
I found some companies online that offer ABS module repair. I was thinking I could disassemble the ABS module and send it to one of these companies for repair.
However, before I do that I wanted to make sure the problem is definitely with the ABS module.
So, I was hoping to get some guidance and help to resolve the issue myself from this forum to avoid paying a hefty bill.
Many thanks in advance.

Re: ABS CONTROL MODULE
You might have to visit a Citroen dealer if unable to fix it yourself.

Re: ABS CONTROL MODULE
Thanks. I was trying to find an alternative way to fix it, as June is the earliest Citroen Coventry can do.

Re: ABS CONTROL MODULE
Before starting disassembly, the sensor and cables must be checked.
Since both rear sensors are the same I would try to swap them between . If both sensors are good then I would check the cables.
I don't have a diagram for that car, but the cables from the sensor go to the ABS/ESP control unit. The connector on the control unit must be inspected for rust and bad contacts, and then the cable for the corresponding sensor must be measured. Connect a multimeter to both ends and check if the ohmic resistance in the cable is 0 ohm. There is an ABS ring on the rear disk, which is made of rubber-plastic and inside there is a magnet. That ring must be intact.

Re: ABS CONTROL MODULE
Hi All,
just a quick update about my issue. Ultimately, it was the right rear speed sensor that was causing the problem.
I took the car to a third mechanic who has been able to diagnose the issue quickly.
He mentioned that the connector to the right rear speed sensor had the pins a bit loose and it wasn't making a secure connection with the speed sensor.
To cure the issue, he tightened the connector pins and installed a new speed sensor.
Thanks All for your support.
