My C3 Picasso 2011 1.6 diesel. is having window problems. Last week i stopped using it for a few weeks Because there was a problem with the near side strut.
Got the strut changed last week & all great. But the windows have stopped working. This maybe Because i have taken the Battery off to charge it.
everything is fine, But i put my DON on it & it says i have a blown bulb at rear & No plate bulb down, 04A7 04BE
The other thing it says is the BSI 05FF UNEXPECTED RE INITALISATION FAULT FROM BSI.
I don't know if these codes are anything to do with my windows not working. So i want to check the motors on the doors But they have 4 wires going to motor.
This has thrown me a little. how can i do a test on the bench with a battery what wires go where?

Re: faulty windows c3 picasso
Before you go down that road, did you do a full BSI reset after reconnecting the battery? IF not this is the procedure you should follow: viewtopic.php?p=601679#p601679
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Yes, I do need to do a reset. But I have No windows working so i cant do a reset where i put the window down.
That's why i wanted to bring the window down with Direct connection to the window Motor.

On the older models the motor was run with just 2 wires reverse live + & neg- & it would run in reverse.
But these motors have 4 wires how do i use a battery to make it operate ? anyone with any info would help me out
There is power at the switch But both windows are not working

Re: faulty windows c3 picasso
Just a update. decided to remove motor from the regulator. & the window was able to be pushed down, done BSI reset no Change.
But decided to loosen door nuts and Put door on a firm base under it. this was a large square water container
The top nut was replaced with a 100mm bolt this kept the door steady but a good 3" away from the car so now i can get to the plugs in the door jam.
You would never believe it, there were Broken wires. I am now testing all wires for continuity will let you know the results later

I wouldn't call broken wires in the door hinge a common thing but it certainly isn't rare either. Well done so far and good luck repairing them
