Cowl Drain Tube Placement Question- 2010 Peugeot 5008 (with pic)

Hi everyone,

I have a 2009 Peugeot 5008 and recently had some repairs done at a shop. While looking under the hood, I noticed the rubber cowl drain tube (the "duckbill" on the driver/passenger side) is pointing directly at an electrical connector and some exposed wiring.
I've attached a picture so you can see what I mean.

I'm concerned that when water drains from the windshield cowl, it will pour straight onto those wires over time.

Could anyone with a similar 5008 check their engine bay and let me know if this tube is supposed to be rotated differently? Should it be pointing straight down or towards the outer fender wall instead?

I would think that any form of drain pipe should be routed so as to spill its drainage straight onto the ground. I'd suggest you go back to the chaps who did the work and ask them about it.

Thanks you for the reply Mick, I will go back there and hope that they will put them back the way it was.
