2009 407hdi 2.0 RHR Head Gasket job

Unread post by HydroFreak »

I'm having a good deal of trouble following the Haynes manual steps for cylinder head removal (blown head gasket) - so far I have the pre-cat clamp off but can't find all the bolts to remove it so that I can get the turbo and exhaust manifold off. This seems a tricky job in-car so I'm crying out for help if anyone has tackled the job or has the Peugeot service procedures available for the steps involved in removing a cylinder head for this RHR 407? I am unable to access Service Box these days, they seem to have changed the criteria.

For the information I can access, I need to know the following details about your vehicle:

Make/Model
Year
Engine type
Gearbox type
Body style
LHD or RHD
RPO number which can be found on the tyre pressure sticker on the door pillar, post a picture of the sticker if you are not sure.
Whether the vehicle has Electronic Stability Control or not

Given that information I can access the PSA Servicebox and Sedre backup systems for vehicles up to 2012 and copy from there. :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!
