ds3 1.6BlueHDI adblue compatibility issue

Unread post by dimon »

Hey everyone,

I own a DS3 1.6 BlueHDi 100 (2014), VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff].
Engine code: BHY or BH02.

I’ve been getting AdBlue tank errors (low pressure, etc.). I removed the tank, disconnected everything, and found that the AdBlue pump module was flooded with urea solution. The PCB has corrosion on some component pins.

I tried cleaning everything, hoping it would fix the issue, but after reassembling and plugging it back in, I now get error U029E (no communication with NOx system). I suspect there’s a short somewhere on the PCB.

I started looking for a used replacement on eBay and noticed that my PCB has 3 capacitors, while other versions seem to have only 2. After reading more (and checking some forum links), it looks like there are at least 3 different firmware versions of these PCBs. Even if they look the same, they might not work properly with my car’s CAN bus.

So my question is: what is my DS3 compatible with? From what I’ve found, models like C3, C4, and C4 Cactus seem to use a similar system. Is there a good chance it will work if I replace just the AdBlue pump module?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Can you check the VIN you have entered as the system is masking it from me and if correct it won't. :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Solved
I have found adblue module on Car Recycling shop spare parts. Surprisingly Peugeout 308 from 2014 year, 1.6 bhdi has that same module as mine, 3 capacitors on pcb and that same numbers on adblue tank and pump module.
Visually the adblue tank from Citroen c4 cactus 2014 is that same, I presume adblue module as well.
It works, I have just pluged it in and have erased erros and have reseted the settings via Delphi adapter (refiill add blue).
I hope no any worries I will get regarding it.
I have plans to take a tank off somewhere in fall time with upcoming cold for inspection.
