I've searched on here for info on how to enter the code for a ZX Blaupunkt radio but so far have not found it. [:(]
Basically my radio code is 6055 but I only have buttons 1 to 5. Now I have sussed that I need to use button 1 to enter the first digit, button 2 to enter the second digit etc. BUT on the display of the 4 digits it can display, the first digit can only display 1 or nothing, the rest being 0 to 9.
Also after entering the code what next?[?]

As far as im aware, the code can only begin with a 1 or a zero. you enter the code with the 4 buttons and press and hold the up arrow to validate the code.
If its a newer model with RDS, the its the same procedure, just the first number can be 0 - 9.
New units come up with "code" on the display to enter the code, old units come up with "COD" on the display.
I suspect you have the code for a newer unit, which has been replaced at some point with an older one.

Right then I've finally got the code entered. procedure is,
Exapmle code 6055, code obtained from http://radiocode.proboards6.com/index.cgi
After locking yourself out (DOH) leave it switched on for an hour.
Then when COD appears press one of the numeric buttons, first press does not count, I figured this out after several failled attempts....
now press button 1 six times, button 2 zero times, button 3 five times, button 4 five times. Now press the up arrow on the square multi button.
Sorted!
Now I've got to change the anti roll bar drop links......

Re: ZX Radio code entry
Hi all, having a similar problem in that I can’t get the radio unlocked. I’ve just got a 95 ZX. I was the winner of a raffle held by 6DDiesels on YouTube, and the car is going like a switch watch. I’ve just had it on a trip to Donegal at the weekend & it never missed a beat! Al supplied me with a code, though he tried several times he couldn’t get it to unlock. To double check I used one of the code unlock sites & it came up with a code that was the same except that it had a 1 as the first number instead of the 7 that Al had.
I’ve followed the steps on suggested as in this link, but it has went straight back to the dots on the display. Does this indicate a fault in the radio, or should I try another code supplier?
I’m thinking of using a different radio temporarily & trying to find someone who can potentially sort the original radio. If I go this route can anyone suggest somewhere to get an adapter? I don’t want cut wires or that kind of tampering. Thanks in advance!

Re: ZX Radio code entry
Did the car come with a handbook? The radio code is sometimes written in that.
I wouldn't put much faith in AI for this task. Do you know the make and model of the radio? There would be more than one option depending on trim level and build date.

Re: ZX Radio code entry
Have you taken the radio out? Someone may have written the code on the case. I did this on my daughter's car's radio a few years ago.
