push button on LH stalk
GC4P B78 2015, Under the steeringwheel are two stalks, the LH is flasher and in the end is a pushbutton, with no function! Q: Is it possible to use this button and assign that to whatever? e.g. the roof light to function as on mk.1. I am quite sure that I have seen that it is functional in Diagbox, but dont remember where. I hope anyone with knowledge in the wiring diagram know where it ends, and where I can begin

Re: push button on LH stalk
I seem to think on our old C5 this button was used to set the headlights to automatically come on. Have you looked in the hand book to see if it says anything ?

Re: push button on LH stalk
I was sure ours (2017 C4GP) didn't have a button on the end of the left stalk; but on checking it does! It cycles through various options on the top screen. Well, well, we've only had 8 years / 90k miles
If yours has the monochrome fixed view top screen then it may not do anything. It may well not be an option in Diagbox to configure it to something else and may well need someone clever to re-program the BSI.

Re: push button on LH stalk
I used to have a mk1 for 18 years, now its a 2015 I have and both of them have an infunctional pushbutton on the left stalk, the directional indicator stalk. I think you have as well on R.H. drive cars. On my car with the colorscreen I have a similar button on the R.H wiper stalk that toggles through the tripcomputer functions. L.H. lower roll MODE button that changes the top screen.

Re: push button on LH stalk
My 2015 my/2016 reg un-grand Picasso had a 'dumb button' on the left hand stalk. I guess its cheaper for Citroen to stock and use a standard parts bin stalk and have it do nothing than it is to fit a model specific one.

Re: push button on LH stalk
Hi Richard, you can be right, but this button has now existed since 2006 over a modelshift until end of 2021, with no function on any Picasso models as I know, but the question is not what it is for, but what it could be used for. As mensioned I have seen in Diagbox, in contact test section, that this contact is active, it sends a signal!, only it goes to nowhere. I would use it instead of fitted another switch somewhere.
4 things that I miss from the old model:
-Mirror dip in reverse, it works but settings is the same on both, and it is fixed, if I change it it returns to default-Old one had individual settings left and right and it would remember.
-When car is in reverse or wiper wash is on, nothing is happening-Old one switched on heater fan recirculation! This would prevent inhaling exhaust fumes when you back over the fumes, or inhaling alcohol fumes from the washer fluid.
-Fuel lit mechanical-Old was electric, no big deal;-)
-I you need roof light in the dark for you or a passenger, you fiddle in the dark, eye away from the road-Old one had a programmable "star" marked steering wheel button that could switch on the roof light. I have an Exclusive model with autopark steering, it might be this button used on the 5-seater?
Subject: I would like to use this stalk button, to at least have the roof switch function back.
I can hear you say: Buy an old one...
Actually I would if I could get a "new" one, old one had 280000km when I changed. Rust beginning....
