Dispatch 1.6HDI 2010.
Well my Dispatch decided about 4 weeks ago it didn't want to start anymore.
I have no crank, no start . So being an idiot I threw money at it, so far it's had the ECU tested, I purchased a new under bonnet fuse box, and Ive had the internal BSI replaced/cloned. and still nothing. I have tried looking for broken wires for many hours now but have found none and all the wires i have looked at are in a better state than I thought they would be in.
What I'm after is a pin out wiring diagram for the ECU and any other Wiring diagram that could be of use.
Any Help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Does it start with a tow?
Have you done the basics? Test to see if 12v is reaching the starter solenoid etc? Is there a click?

Re: 2010 Dispatch 1.6HDI ecu pin out diagram
I have not tried it with a tow start, I get a very small click from under the dash BSI, I'm pretty sure its going to be a broken wire from under bonnet fuse to trigger the ecu
or the ecu back to the under bonnet fuse box to then trigger the start relay. When it first happened I had it scanned and this said no comms with ECU. quickest cheapest route was to replace under bonnet fuses box. which i did, still no comms with ecu, sent off ecu had it looked at and returned this took a month. Fitted it still the same. So have now changed under dash BSI for a full cloned one. And still the same no Comms, this is why i'm off into the broken wire from ECU to where ever r I oute. That's why i'd like the diagrams to buzz from pin to pin and see if things add up and what doesn't.
About a 2 weeks before this the van did the same, after swearing at it and walking away it fired up the next day without any problems. Ran happily for the 2 weeks and is now dead in the drive .
I dont want to jump the starter direct just incase it has a broken wire shorted out and i end up sticking 12v through a 5v wire into the bsi or ecu. If you know what I mean.
I've only had the van 8 months and its ran faultless up until now, has always started on the first click of the key.

Hopefully this will help, the link below takes you to a diagram guide which might be useful too:

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Many thanks for the info, I had found the information about how to attempt to make sense of the French wiring schematics before, but have certainly not seen the diagram you linked that will be a good start. Another few hours of under bonnet fun coming up today then.
Although after spending so much time and money i'm heading towards the drag it down the road and set fire to it.
Thanks again for your help.

NO CRANK, NO START, NO COMMS with the ECU
At my wit's end now with this van, I have buzzed through so many different wires and connections on this van I'm still not sure where the break in one could be.
Obviously the best way would be to pull the looms out but if it comes to this then the van is off to be scrapped.
Does anyone have a schematic or list of what each ECU pin in/out reading on a Bosch EDC16C34 should be with the ignition switched on and off, by knowing this, it just might send me in the correct direction. I've checked ohms reading of the Can/Bus and that is fine.
Everything I have read and seen is pointing me to an input/ output wire broken on route to or from the ECU. So its not communicating with anything
I've seen and read so many similar things about this No Crank No start situation. Unfortunately now I'm pretty much out of money and options of what else to do.;
Last of all can anyone recommend a good mobile vehicle electrician who could come take a look at it.
I'm 10 mile south of Kings Lynn , Norfolk UK
Failing that make me an offer on the van, bit battered body wise , ECU, BSI under bonnet Fuse box replaced. was a great runner
) now is a non runner .

How many miles has it done ? You said you do not want to try the starter but it could be the problem if its brushes have worn out or its solenoid is not working.

Its done about 148k now, I am pretty sure its not going to be getting to 149k they way its going.
The last 8 months that ive owned it its never missed a beat, will always start on the very first click of the key.
I don't understand that if the starter was at fault why would it come up with a No comms to ecu as a one of the faults.
I'm going outside now again to jack it up and try and get access to the starter motor.
will report back later, unless i drop a van on my head

Right I've been under had a good look and given the starter a good thump for the hell of it, I powered down pin 2 yellow plug in the fuse box under bonnet and it cranked over the starter turns and cranks the engine. I tried this with the key afterwards and nothing. no crank .
Happily to hear any more ideas, I also buzzed the 3 pin key loom to the the variuos ends and that works fine

Re: 2010 Dispatch 1.6HDI ecu pin out diagram
Next update, I have spent ages now stripping back the loom that runs from the underbonnet fuse box to the lower rear of the engine that runs along just above the Starter motor and off to god knows how many sensors etc and then up to the ECU, I have found NOTHING that looks like a break in a cable, no corrosion or anything. I do have to say I was very impressed at how sticky some of the loom wrapping is after all these years and wonder what lunatic decided to run all that wiring along such a stupid route. I've also stripped back all wiring loom inside the van from the drivers side up to the BSI and under the carpet to the passenger side. Removed various bits of trim which is now in the back of the van along with many bits of dash. Still NOTHING. I think i'm beat.

Last attempt. Can anyone recommend a Mobile vehicle electrical god who is around the Downham Market, Kings Lynn Norfolk, Wisbech Cambs area that could have a look at it.
One last final attempt.
Many Thanks

Re: 2010 Dispatch 1.6HDI ecu pin out diagram
Right that's it i'm done with the thing. Going to save now and buy yet another pile of French rubbish van around the same model as my dead one.
At least then I have a donor van for parts and anything else that will fall off the replacement van in time. Assuming the replacement one does not also get an electrical fault maybe this time I may be luckier.
Amazing how my old MK1 Peugeot Expert DW8 enigined van ran like like a sewing machine for years with just regular maintenance services and cam belt changes. It was the sills and back end rust that killed it off in the end. If I'd known then what I know now about this dispatch i'd rather have spent 2k on the old van welding. And yes I sold the old one as spares or repairs and it was all welded up and back on a garage forecourt in under a month, also selling for £900 more than what I paid for it 8 years before.
Oh well you live and learn.
Thanks for the input and suggestions you all.
