From what year are the 1.6 THP/PureTech engines good?

What i mean to say is, from what year did the 1.6 petrol get rid of the infamous chain (and other) issues that plauged it. I cant find a concrete answer, some people say 2014, some 2016, some 2018. From what i can see the name change from THP to PureTech is around 2017, but does that have anything to do with the engine, or is it just a simple name change?
