ECU pin out diagram

Unread post by Colin2206 »

The car is a 207cc, 1.6l engine, 2008 registration, UK.

This is my wife's car and it has run poor for some time. I've another thread about the problems, but after repalcing the timing chain, Vanos unit and other pieces managed to get rid of all fault codes, excepting P0343, which relates to the exhaust camshaft sensor. I've fitted new sensor, tested it best as I could, and the fault remains. So going to check the harness this afternoon but would like to know the pin no. at the ECU for this. Haynes Manual doesn't seem to go into that detail. A diagram would be great or even the plug/ pin no.
Any help appreciated.

Regards,
Colin.

After fitting the new sensor did you clear the faults in Diagbox or similat high end tester? :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Thanks for your response.

An Elm 327 device. Wiring to cam sensors all ok. Found a diagram on a program I download years ago, "SEDRE", took a bit of working out but identified some pins.

However, I took the car for a 10 mile run and it ran perfectly, engine smooth and sharp pick up on acceleration up a hill, better than it has for months. As I have replaced the timing chain, Vanos units, throttle body, MAP sensor, thermostat housing and cam sensors, maybe not surprising. Still got error codes, P0014, P11A9 & P11A8, all Pending.
As I am getting strange readings from Air Intake temp and Thermostat, going up and down wildly, I'm begining to think ECU or some central/common module. I'm just thinking out loud.

The air intake temperature sensor is often in the MAF so if your car has a MAF it may be faulty. Its value should be the outside temperature before starting the car with a cold engine so around 10°C. As it warms up it could go up to around 30 to 40°C.

Something to read but we do not know if the faults were fixed viewtopic.php?t=75944

Haynes says the Air Temp Sensor is in the Throttle Body, which was one of the reasons I changed it. Haynes doesn't list a seperate MAF for this model.
I'm revisiting the Cam Sensors supply and signal supplies to make sure I understand them properly. Some YouTube seem to suggest 5v for both supply and signal and I want to double check that.

What values are you getting for the outside air temp ? Was the replacement throttle body new ?

On the dashboard display, it went from -22 C, then no reading, then 11C which would be correct. It is not consistent and changes during the drive.
Yes, throttle body new. As I said the engine is running quieter, smoother with a little more pull. LTT at -0.78. A little flutter on the revs when cold, otherwise runs fine.
Rechecked the Cam sensors with multimeter. Battery is at 12.8v, supply to both sensors is 11.7v, signal is 5v, fluttering when engine running.
