Hi All,
On my C5 Mk.1 I have the ABS and ESP lights on and "electrovalve" fault without a code showing on my Delphi diagnostic.
Trying to action the ABS pump from the laptop does not make the pump operate.
Looking at the ABS live data with the diagnostic I see: software version - 0000, Supplier - Teves and "Relay for solenoid valve - open circuit".
I would like to know if anyone can tell me, before I try to find a replacement ABS unit, whether the "relay open circuit" means a fault with the relay (in the fusebox ?) or does this still point to the ABS unit ?
Also if anyone has a wiring diagram for the ABS I would greatly appeciate a look at it.
TIA

Re: C5 ABS ESP fault Relay for solenoid open circuit
'Relay open circuit' suggests to me that the relay coil is not being 'seen' by the ecu. I'd check all the connectors to and from the BSI for dirt or corrosion as well as the wiring.
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Re: C5 ABS ESP fault Relay for solenoid open circuit
Thanks for your reply and sorry to take so long to respond, I thought I had it set to email me when someone replied.
So I am on the hunt for a wiring diagram to do what you suggest.
I have had the fusebox from the engine compartment completely out to see if I could access the relays but it is not easy to access the back of the PCB. I believe this fusebox is in fact the BCM and the BSI is the fusebox under the dash ?
