2013 DS4 misfire

Unread post by rrijken »

Bought this car 3 years ago with 80000km on the clock, it now has 125000 on the clock.

Car developed a misfire code that was not fixed by new plugs or coils (cylinder undetermined included but misfire on all cylinders and counting). As the chain was never done I did the chain and car again drove beautifully for 2 weeks after the misfires came back so changed the CPS and again it fixed it for 1 week but misfires came back again. Last Tuesday I got a fuel pressure warning so concluded that the hpfp must be bad. Still used the car though. It had misfires at idle but ran beautifully over 1500 rpm and when engine was at operating temperature (over 80C) the misfires were gone. Used the car like this for 4 days and today I changed the hpfp for a 1920LL. Started up beautifully and was able to use the car no problem although it sometimes hesitated when I pressed accelerator for sudden power. On way back at lights at idle it felt as if it was misfiring again but car managed on itself to get over this. When I got home I let the car idle for 10 minutes and there were hesitations at times but no misfires think. Took it for a drive and coolant was at 93C, car developed misfire again and is now unusable as the misfire is present from start P1336 and P1337. At idle I can get past the misfire above 1500 rpm but as soon as I put it in drive car will not respond to the gas pedal and throws above codes.

Really at the end of my wits and do not want to spend more without being sure that the problem will be fixed. Any ideas?

Does it need the 1920RT pump? 1.6thp is the 162hp version.

Help appreciated

For the information we can access, we need to know the following details about your vehicle:

Make/Model
Year
Engine type
Gearbox type
Body style
LHD or RHD
RPO number which can be found on the tyre pressure sticker on the door pillar, post a picture of the sticker if you are not sure.
Whether the vehicle has Electronic Stability Control or not

Given that information we can access the Citroen Servicebox and Sedre backup systems for vehicles up to 2012 and copy from there.

For newer vehicles there are members with access to the live databases and given that information one of them will be able to see which pump you need. Good luck :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!
