Sadly I regretted having the bright idea one day of inputting the registrations of all the cars I've ever owned, not a huge number, but depressingly all have "dropped off the radar" in terms of MOT so more than likely scrapped :(
I can't remember any of the previous registrations of my cars and not the current one either.

The only ones I do remember are 302 CVN. Morris 1100. Memorable as my dad (it was his car) worked in '302', the centre radome of the Fylingdales BMEWS.
And 4567 UP. Morris Minor that had belonged to our doctor.

Yesterday I had a brochure delivered in the post from the local Mazda dealer (I'm on my second Mazda, never been anywhere near the dealer)

I think you are better off, I can remember my parents cars (B937WCK, L588XFW, W987SBO, YG07OJP) and mine previous ones (F625RBH, M325OAC, oh, then a Coupe I've forgotten (and I wrote it off  still sad about it) = all long since "dead" as far as the DVLA online information suggests. So completely useless info!

I think I'm getting less efficient at remembering currently owned cars details nowadays - perhaps as the websites I'd buy stuff on all remember the reg for me :-D

My first car, a Moggy, was VYV 333 (Not found on GOV.UK) and my second a Mini 659 DON (Not found on GOV.UK), then my first Reliant, a MK6, 205 PL (Number Plate sold to Peter Lumpton, now on a Mini) and my second Reliant, a Supervan 3, FXD 31J (Not found on GOV.UK) . I could probably think of some more with time but that'll do for now! :-D

I wonder if the guy I bought WarHorse off who worked at Citroen Duxford as checked it out. 🤣

He sold it to me needing a new clutch at 164k miles in 2012. 5 years later the clutch was replaced at 196k.

There was a piece on The World At One (Radio 4) at lunchtime today and a small part of it covered tech in modern cars. The piece was actually about trading with China, but the interviewer asked the guest if they'd buy a Chinese car - their response: They wouldn't.......

Quote:
"Because the software can be controlled by the Chinese manufacturer. That doesn't necessarily mean they're going to interfere with the car, but there may be a point in a global crisis - lets say with regard to Taiwan - where they suddenly switch off my car because the manufacturer can do that through its software.
And this isn't some sort of conspiracy theory, I can give you an example with John Deere tractors in Ukraine stolen by the Russians being switched off by the manufacturers so the Russians couldn't use them."

And who was this person coming up with this interesting response ?

Sir Richard Dearlove - former head of the British Secret Intelligence Service. More informally known as 'C'

He doesn't define what 'C' means but he doesn't like him...

Where's Bond when you need him. Contentious but Daniel Craig, for me, was the best Bond to date. It will be interesting to see who comes next and whether Amazon 'water' Bond down.

I have noticed that the Google Maps thingy is becoming increasingly hopeless.

I started using a BP monitor again yesterday and pulled up a (Google) spreadsheet to record the results (to email to the surgery).
YouTube now full of guides on how to use BP monitors.

I am not keen on the electric BP monitors, for me they seem to get very tight and give higher values than tests done by a doctor with a stethoscope and manometer. Once one went really tight and I felt something judder in my chest whilst the nurse was not watching. We had a Bosch home one that would go above 200 before pulling the pipe off so I binned it. Possibly they are not good at detecting the pulse. We have also borrowed one from the doctors which should have been calibrated but they are reluctant to lend them out.

Nothing surprises where Musk is involved. The rest of them too.
Dreadful video though, again, it would be far better to read about it.
