Hello, I’m new here. I have a 2019 Peugeot 5008, 1.6 Aisin 6 petrol. (Colombia)

They carried out a gearbox repair (full kit, including discs, seals, belts, etc.) and a torque conversion repair. The solenoids were cleaned using an ultrasonic cleaner.

When shifting into first or second gear, the car jerks, and reverse is very loose.

They say that with the Diagbox you just scan it, enter the replacement parts, clear the codes, and that’s it. But it’s still having the same problem.

Does it need to go through the self-adaptive process? Could you tell me how this process is done or the steps I need to take? If you have any videos or photos, I’d be grateful.

This video may give you an idea of what is involved: :)

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Isn't the Aisin gearbox the fully automatic box with a torque converter? Or do Aisin make the piloting mechanism for the piloted manual box as well? If it's the fully automatic gearbox then any information about the piloted gearbox (which is what the title of the thread is) is irrelevant.

Hello,

Yes, the box has a pair converter. Should the readaptation be done or what do you suggest?

Is it mandatory to scan with the diagbox?

If they repaired the box and when doing the autoscan, fault codes still appear, is it because the automatic box still has a failure or can it be some electronic configuration?

I'm sure the video Mick posted was for the piloted gearbox to start off with, hence my comments.

I haven't played the replacement video but it looks like they use an Autel diagnostic device. So, a high-end diagnostic machine or Diagbox should be used.

With diagbox you have to do the same procedure that is shown in the Autel video?

Only in the automatic transmission module or some other module? What other high-end diagnostic machine do you recommend? Any tutorial or video with diagbox?

I've just played the video that Mick inked to and I think that, despite the picture of a proper automatic gearbox at the beginning, that it's a procedure for the piloted gearbox. I was suspicious when he talked about engaging the gears and was sure when it mentions the clutch. Proper auto boxes have a torque converter and not a clutch. They have brake bands internally to handle the gear changing.

However...

I feel that any diagnostic machine that offers this sort of service to reinitialise an automatic gearbox should be able to cope with both types. The term "Pack function" is also used in Diagboxes for when something needs reinitialising or initialising for the first time when it's a new fitment.

Unfortunately I think I have reached the end of what I can help you with. You won't know if your diagnostic machine will work until you try it. As a rough guide I would be surprised if a machine that costs less than $100USD would work and you should be looking for a machine that costs around $300USD or more.
