308 Airbag Issue

Unread post by cyanide »

I need some urgent help with a 2011 308 1.6hdi 5 door. It’s got an airbag light on and the MOT is due next week 🤦

I’ve scanned with Diagbox, it’s showing C610 front left satellite open circuit. I checked all the wiring and there was a break in the passenger footwell which I’ve repaired.

It cleared briefly after I did the work but as soon as I’ve put it all back together it’s back again.

I’ve swapped out the left and right sensors and the fault is still left side, so it must be wiring related but I can’t find it and is doing my head in. The connectors look fine - no corrosion or bent pins.

I’ve tried coding the sensor out on diagbox just to get it though the mot but the configuration fails so that won’t work.

Is there something obvious I’m missing here? Or do I need to fill the centre console out and replace the entire airbag loom to the sensor…?

Have you checked the connectors under the passenger seat? :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Yes, gives a different code if they’re unplugged. The code is for the crash sensor which is wired directly in to the airbag ecu afaik - it doesn’t go via the seats
