Tie Rod End?

Unread post by JimboM »

Need to replace the outer tie rod end an the wife's 208. There's plenty out there frmm the likes of Febi, Borg & Beck, Delphi, QH, NK etc, so is there a go to make for these or are they all likely to be made in the same factory in China anyway?
Thanks

Go tos tend to be subjective according to people's experiences, so I can say that my go to for suspension and steering parts is Febi Bilstein. I've never had a problem and they are reasonably priced. No doubt others will say differently!! :)
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

When you replace it you will need to have the tracking set up so if you are unable to do this yourself I would also ask at a dealer or other trusted garage for a price to do the complete job. If they supply the part it makes any warranties simpler with them being responsible for the part as well as the labour.

In suspension works I always go with LEMFÖRDER and it never went badly.

It is always cheaper to do the work yourself and just go get alignment separately. Just don't drive it anywhere else without the alignment and count the turns while unscrewing the old one so you are as close as possible.
