I'm not sure what you mean by 'rear crash bar' ? :)

It's a bit of a long story, I live in Spain and bought a c5 that had a tow bar fitted. Unfortunately it was not certified. So it failed its MOT. So I'm looking to take tow bar off but have to replace the bar behind the rear bumper, as that was taken off to fit the tow bar. Hopefully this makes sense.

Ah yes. I had to take the bar off when I fitted the tow bar onto my C5 X7 Tourer some years ago. It's long gone now unfortunately.

As the tow bar for my car also fitted a Peugeot 407 (yes, really) maybe there's a similar/same strengthening bar on that which may be easier to find.

And here's another thought. Fit a certified tow bar.

Thought of thar but to be honest I don't need it so reckon fitting the bar would be a better option as I cam do the work myself.

If you can not get a used part you might find a tow bar costs less. They are easy to fit and just bolt on. They come with a type approval sticker on them so unless rules in Spain are different to the UK they can be diy fitted.
