U1208 fault

I have just had my MOT done and when I was leaving the ESP /ASR warning light came on when I started the car it is a Peugeot 207 cc. I can still drive without any problems but needs sorting. I took it back to the garage where I had my MOT done straight away but he said it was alright after the test but it wasn't. They did a diagnostic test for half price and suggested I take it to an electrician he knew as he thought it was an electrical problem but I have not yet and won't be.
