Navigation Update DS7 Blue HDI 180 Opera Registration March 2019

Hello!


We have purchased a DS7 Crossback Blue HDI 180 in the Opera trim during August 2024. The car was for the first time registrated during March 2019. The car has obviously so far not seen any update of the Tom Tom Traffic navigation software, so that it runs with the maps of 2018. I thought that wen we buy the 100 EUR subscription with the points of interest, the traffic control and the radar the maps would be automatically updated. This was wrong since with the DS APP one can download the latest navigation software for free. This needs to be done with an USB stick. I have bought one double the capacity required and I have formatted strictly according to the requirements of the manufacturer.


Now to the problem:

When I put the USB with the card material into the USB slot in the front USB it instantly says that the USB can not be read. Some seconds after it shows the file which I have stored on the USB so that it seems that the card material is on the USB already. Then I can confirm that the installation shall take place. Unfortunately after the confirmation has been done it gets back to the first information that there is a problem and the installation stops. I have bought a new USB stick of another manufacturer and the problem is still occurring. In my opinion the USB port should be functionioning since otherwise the data would not be found.


Have you any idea?

Some people have damaged the USB by plugging a USB hub into the socket and overloading it. This may have been done before you bought the car. That may be your issue but it is only one possibility. Hello!

Thank you for the hint. We will get to a garage for changing the port which can hopefully solve the issue. In Austria the garages with DS certification are very rare:-)
