hello comrades. i have a problem with the seat heating installation in the peugeot 508.
I entered the seats with heating. my 508 had no heating and no cable installation. I check the switch, and I just managed to find the light on it. i can't see it can let electricity into the seat to keep it warm. can you help me and explain on what principle the seat heating switch works. it has 6 pins and I think there should have been only 4 in operation

Re: Heated seats stopped working
There is the possibility of 6 pins. A 2 Pin Green connection for the heated seat Back and a 4 Pin Green connector for the seat cushion (depending on system).
But none of this will work without the correct wiring harness. - The harnesses are not the same - they are different depending on options fitted at the factory. The electrical system involves the BSI and the engine ECU, the Electrical Supplies Management Unit, Battery Compartment Fuse Box and all this has to be able to talk to the heated seat control units.

Re: Heated seats stopped working
that is, the circuit breaker will not pass power until it receives the appropriate signal from the BSI provided the motor is running. is there electricity in the switch that prevents the signal from passing when the engine is off?

Re: Heated seats stopped working
The system is BSI controlled so the heated seats are not supplied with power after the engine is switched off otherwise you will flatten the battery

You need to post in English!

If you see a picture of the switch, the red dots are bright.
There is resistance to the yellow dots on them, the green one is free - I don't know what it is for and the blue one has gone nowhere and is of no use.
Thanks buddy you help a lot

Re: Heated seats stopped working
I connected everything by semi:
from the switch from P1 to the seat module on P6,
from P2 to module to P1,
from P4 to P1 to BSI Blue connector,
P5 grounding of switches,
from fuse F7 to module on P5,
P8 on the module is grounded,
with BSI P13 brown connector I connect to module on P2. and it doesn't work I don't know what the problem is. or the BSI needs to be programmed to repeat

Re: Heated seats stopped working
My heated seats stopped working again. Both seats not working, but heating pads are good(measured resistance), switches on the seats work, wiring is good.
I'll check maxi fuses tomorrow, but I've a question. There's a R7 relay on the electrical scheme, but I can't figure out where it's supposed to be located. There are no relays on the BSI module itself, relays under the bonnet are unmarked, there's just this one free hanging relay next to the BSI.

Can someone please shed some light on this, how can I find this relay? Also, what are it's specs?

Re: Heated seats stopped working
R7 is just the ECU wake-up relay and isn't related to the seats. The R7 relay along with others are integrated inside the BSI - non user serviceable.
Check Fuse F39 in the passenger compartment fusebox when you are checking the Maxi Fuse 6 - but if it was the Maxi Fuses, you would have other electrical equipment not working. MF6 supplies the cabin fusebox where F39 is located.
These are the reference values for checking the heated seats and are for ambient temperatures of 20°C +/- 10°C when checking with an Ohmmeter.

| Seat / Backrest | Measuring point Pin number | Minimal value | Maximal value |

Heated seats stopped working
Hi everyone. My driver heated seat stopped working while the passenger working good. When I turn the engine on, the lights on the adjustable knobs come on and it stays on for about 20sec then turns off.
For passenger side everything goes right.
Anyone had this problem?

Checked and replaced fuse FH39, it's ok.
Checked F7, it's ok.
Have been doing carpet cleaning thoroughly.
Any help what could it be?
Grounding?
Other things?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Heated seats stopped working
Hi i know this is old thread but I wanted to let you know what helped me.
I was trying to look the fuses, wires... All good.
But I noticed the seats worked for some time and then they didn't. Also the light for the seats light up when starting the car and then it dimmed and turned off...
So I asked at my local dealer. And they fixed it. The BSI was faulty. And its working now.
